Success Is Acquired Through Habit

In an ongoing effort to remain consistent with my home business and be successful I read up on a little booklet called "The Common Denominator of Success" ~by Albert E.N. Gray  It is a common book that is shared among Insurance Agents that work out in the fields on a daily basis.  They have to develop skills of prospecting for new clients, calling them, selling to them, and having good working habits.  I think that for me ,as a business owner, it is just as essential to understand some of those same primary functions that will help me to sustain my business and ultimately enhance the lives of others by helping them reach thier goals too.

"Every single qualification for success is acquired through habit"

That is the quote that stuck out in my mind when I read over this booklet.
What I learned from it is that we all form habits and those habits are what ultimately form our futures. So, if you do not deliberately form good habits, then unconciously you will form bad ones.  You are the kind of person you are because you have formed the habit of being that kind of person, and the only way you can change is through habit.

However, before you decided to start changing your habits in an attempt in improving yourself overnight you first need to understand that you won't form a habit that you will keep unless you link it with a definite purpose that can be accomplished by keeping it.  So in other words any decisions you make today have to be made again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next, and the next, and so forth.   You have to be consistent and continually work at it.  You want it to become a habit that you don't have to keep deciding to make everyday.  That's when you will realize you've become a different person and your goals are more attainable.  As I tell every team member I have: "consistency is key".

Your future in not going to depend on economic analysis, your future is not going to depend on economic conditions or outside influences of circumstances over which you have no control. Your future is going to depend on your purpose in life. [The Common Denominator of Success ~ Albert E.N. Gray]01 02 03
